A.M. No. 05-2-11-SC

RE: REQUEST OF SC EMPLOYEES AFFECTED BY TYPHOONS WINNIE AND YOYONG FOR THE RELEASE OF THEIR EMERGENCY ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE (EEA).

Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated FEB 22, 2005.

The Court Resolved NOTE the Letter dated 27 January 2005 of some employees of the Court, requesting for the release of their Emergency Economic Assistance (EEA) considering that their counterparts from the lower courts have long received the benefit pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 80-2004 dated 3 December 2004.

The Court further Resolved, upon the recommendation of Chief Administrative Officer Eden T. Candelaria, to GRANT the request of the officials and employees of the Supreme Court who are actually residing, even if they are temporarily residing in Metro Manila (single, unmarried employees or married), but whose families are in the areas affected by typhoons Winnie and Yoyong, provided that the entitlement will be based on the latest records of the employees in their 201 files and any misrepresentation/misinformation on their part will be a ground for administrative action against them.

In this connection, the Chief Administrative Officer is DIRECTED to check on the latest records of the concerned employees."

Very truly yours,

(Sgd.) LUZVIMINDA D. PUNO

Clerk of Court
