RE: UNDECIDED CASES IN THE REGIONAL TRIAL COURT, BRANCH 62, ANGELES CITY

Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated MAR 1 2005.

The Court Resolved, upon the recommendation of the Office of the Court Administrator, to REVISE paragraph (c) of the Court’s resolution of 21 September 2004 which directed Executive Judge Bernardita E. Erum, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Angeles City, to equitably distribute among the RTC judges of Angeles City the forty-one (41) criminal cases (excluding Criminal Case No. 514  which was submitted for decision only on 13 August 2004 and Criminal Case NO. 0-279) and the two (2) civil cases submitted for decision but were left undecided by Hon. Melencio W. Claros, former presiding judge of RTC, Branch 62, Angeles City, and instead

(a)     DIRECT presiding Judge Ma. Angelica P. Quiambao, RTC, Branch 59, Angeles City, and Presiding Judge Herminio Z. Canlas, RTC, Branch 54, Macabebe, Pampanga, to decide, within six (6) months from notice hereof, ten (10) cases each out of the 41 criminal cases (excluding Crim. Case No. 514 which was submitted for decision only on 13 august 2004 and Criminal Case No. 0-279) and two (2) civil cases submitted for decision left undecided by Judge Claros;

(b)     DIRECT Presiding Judge Gerardo Antonio P. Santos, RTC, Branch 62, Angeles City, to decide the remaining twenty-three (23) undecided cases, also within six (6) months from notice hereof; and

(c)     REQUIRE Judge Quiambao, Judge Canlas and Judge Santos to FURNISH the Court Management Office, Office of the Court Administrator, with copies of the decisions thereof within ten (10) days from promulgation thereof.”  Morales, J., on leave.
