RE: RESOLUTION No. 04-12 OF PHILJA RECOMMENDING FOR APPOINTMENT FIVE (5) PHILJA PROFESSORS.

Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated FEB 22, 2005.

The Court Resolved to NOTE the Letter dated 17 February 2005 of Ret. Associate Justice Jose C. Vitug addressed to Chief Justice Hilario G. Davide, Jr., thru Justice Ameurfina A. Melencio Herrera, PHILJA Chancellor, stating that (a) personal and family considerations made him decide to give up full time assignment in the Academy for a part-time appointment, effective 1 March 2005, similar to those which had been extended by the Court to Fr. Ranhilio C. Aquino and Prof. Sedfrey M. Candelaria; and (b) he will make himself available for academic programs and other activities of the Academy and its various activities.

The Court further Resolved to APPROVE the re-appointment of Justice Jose C. Vitug (ret.) as part-time Professor II of the Philippine Judicial Academy effective 1 March 2005."
