RE: A RESOLUTION LAUNCHING THE JUSTICE ON WHEELS PROJECT AND CREATING AN AD HOC COMMITTEE FOR THE PURPOSE

Sirs/Mesdames:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated APRIL 5 2005.

The Court Resolved to NOTE the

(a)     1^st Indorsement dated 1 April 2005 of Hon. Justice Adolfo S. Azcuna, Chairperson, Ad Hoc Committee, Justice on Wheels, submitting and indorsing to the Honorable Chief Justice Hilario G. Davide, Jr. the Reports on the Operation of the Mobile Court in the National Capital Judicial Region for January and February 2005, and the request of Senior Deputy Court Administrator (DCA) Zenaida N. Elepano, Vice-Chairperson, Ad Hoc Committee, Justice on Wheels Project, for authority for Judge Myrna Lim-Verano to preside over the Mobile Court and conduct hearings of drugs cases pending in her court;

(b)     Memorandum dated 31 March 2005 of Senior DCA Zenaida N. Elepano on the aforementioned request, re:  Roll Out of Mobile Court to Muntinlupa City; and

(c)     Memorandum dated 15 March 2005 of Senior DCA Zenaida N. Elepano, re:  Partial Report on the Operations of the Mobile Court in the National Capital Judicial Region.

The Court further Resolved to APPROVE the draft Administrative Order designating Judge Myrna Lim-Verano, RTC, Branch 205, Muntinlupa City, to preside over the Mobile Court in Muntinlupa City, to wit:

Pursuant to Section 5(3), Art. VIII of the Constitution, the Hon. MYRNA LIM VERANO, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 205, Muntinlupa City shall preside over the Mobile Court once it will operate in Muntinlupa City and shall conduct hearings of drug cases pending in her court.

She shall be assisted by her Clerk of Court and one (1) Court Stenographer.

Judge Verano shall be entitled to an expense allowance of Five Hundred Pesos (P500) for each day served in the mobile court while her clerk of court and court stenographer shall be entitled to an expense allowance of Two Hundred Pesos (200.00)/day.
