Acosta	Cruz	Elbinias	Lantion

THE COURT OF Appeals has four new Associate Justices – Justices Francisco P. Acosta, Stephen C. Cruz, Michael P. Elbinias, and Jane Aurora C. Lantion.
     Justice Acosta was a partner at the Acosta and Fernandez Law Office. He graduated magna cum laude and silver medalist from the San Beda College of Law.
     Justice Cruz served as the Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 60 of Lucena City from 2000, later becoming Vice-Executive Judge from 2005 to 2007.
     Justice Elbinias was a political columnist and Dean of the Philippine Law School. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Ateneo de Manila University.
     Justice Lantion was the Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 13 of Lipa City, Batangas from 1993 until her appointment to the appellate court. Also a law graduate from the Ateneo, Justice Lantion was elected in 2006 as the first woman president of the Philippine Judges’ Association.
