The knowledge-sharing tour provides us with an excellent opportunity to discuss and present the projects and activities that the Committee on Gender Responsiveness in the Judiciary has been implementing to engender the justice system in our country.
It has also been organized to provide our justices and judges as well as our foreign delegates a forum to share their views, experiences and strategies on how to advocate and push for gender responsiveness in our respective judicial systems. Through these exchanges, we hope to promote mutual learning and knowledge sharing.
We thank the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) most especially for generously funding this knowledge-sharing activity. We see this as the beginning of meaningful exchanges as we look forward to a regional cooperation on gender and development for the judiciaries of Southeast Asia.
